Invisalign straightens your teeth without wires and brackets using a series of clear, customized, and removable appliances called aligners.

It’s virtually undetectable, so few will know you’re straightening your teeth.

How does Invisalign work?

The Invisalign system combines advanced 3D computer graphics technology with the science of orthodontics to create aligners that slowly move your teeth to the final position prescribed by your orthodontist.

If your orthodontist feels Invisalign is right for you, we will send precise treatment instructions that Invisalign translates to create a sequence of finely calibrated aligners — as few as 12 or as many as 48.

Each aligner fits you’re your mouth at every stage of the treatment plan and is worn for about two weeks. You will only remove your aligners to eat, brush, and floss.

As you replace each aligner, your teeth gradually being to move week by week until your teeth attain the final alignment we prescribe.

What conditions does Invisalign Teen treat?

By using its advanced technology, Invisalign Teen can treat a broad range of dental and orthodontic conditions, which, in the past, were usually treated with traditional braces. These conditions include:

How often must I wear my aligners?

You may remove your aligners for eating, drinking and regular oral hygiene, but you must wear your aligners for up to 22 hours daily.

Are there any restrictions to what I can eat while in treatment?

No. Unlike braces, you can eat whatever you like, as long as you remove the aligners first. Before placing the aligners back on, brush your teeth and the aligners after you eat.

Will wearing the aligners affect my speech?

With any orthodontic treatment, you will experience a short adjustment period. The more you speak with the aligners on, the faster you will adjust.

Is there any discomfort with Invisalign treatment?

For a day or two after each initial insertion, you will feel some pressure and minor discomfort. This is a sign that your teeth are moving sequentially into their final position.

Can I chew gum?

We recommend that you remove your aligners before chewing gum because the gum will stick to the aligners.

Can I smoke with the aligners in?

We discourage smoking with aligners because the cigarette smoke tends to discolor them.

How do I keep my aligners clean?

Brush aligners with toothpaste to keep them fresh and clean.

How often do I see an orthodontist while wearing Invisalign?

Regular office visits every five to six weeks ensure your Invisalign treatment progresses as planned.

What happens after my treatment is complete? Do I need retainers?

We instruct all orthodontic patients to wear their retainers at night indefinitely. Sleeping with your retainers in ensures a healthy bite and maintains the new position of your teeth.

How long does Invisalign treatment take?

Treatment times vary depending on the severity of the misaligned teeth. Treatment time can be shorter than traditional braces—between six and 18 months.

Does Invisalign work for kids?

Yes, if their teeth have grown in completely, including second molars.
